Recent Renovations
While the main focus of the lower level remodel was to house the Timber Pointe Orthopeadic unit, all residents are able to benefit due to new amenities added such as EZ Street, library, game room, dining room, spa room, shower/bath room, transitional room, and a theater room.
EZ Street
During the remodel of the lower level, we took a large empty room and converted it into what we like to call “EZ Street”. The concept is to make the room look and feel like a small town with actual buildings and a road made out of tile.
One of the buildings is called the “Country Store” where residents, employees, and families can come in and purchase pop, candy, and personal items. The store is run by one of the residents and it is open 5 days a week.
Library
The library & bistro area can be utilized by residents and their families as a place to sit and visit.
Game Room
The game room now includes 3 large tables which are normally used for bingo, pokeno, and crafts. There are 2 large poker tables that both residents and family can use to play cards on. Also there are a few comfy chairs and a television for residents to relax in.
Dining Room
The dining room area is utilized for families and residents to have meals together or to socialize.
Spa Room
The spa room is available to residents and their families for doing nails.
Shower/Bath Room
The shower and bath room has been totally remodeled and this is where residents can opt to take a shower or have a whirlpool bath
Transitional Room
The transitional room was designed to be used by our therapy department. The room is equipped with a working stove, working refrigerator, a normal sized bed, table, toilet, and bathtub. The therapists will have the residents cook meals and work with them on toileting and bathing. This will give the therapists a good idea if the resident is ready to live at home alone yet or not.
Theater Room
The theater room is equipped with a big projection screen television and is utilized by all residents to watch movies on.
